(Age 4+ years) Ideally, a child enters and remains in the Nursery school environment for 2 consecutive years. By the time the child has finished a 2-year Nursery cycle, the child should be comfortable working independently as well as being fully ready for the challenges of primary school.
Our nursery program is designed for children who will be four on or before September 1st. The program is designed to help prepare children for their nursery year. Readiness skills are addressed, but as in our pre-nursery program, learning is initiated through play. The children are exposed to many learning activities throughout the day including work with colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet and name recognition. Children work at their own pace, enjoying many developmentally appropriate activities. The nursery program uses the Everyday Math and Handwriting Without Tears series as part of the curriculum.
The day begins with our traditional morning nursery program filled with a variety of exceptional activities and experiences. The afternoon portion of the day has a particular emphasis on language, math and science.
